About the work

Blaquestalyon works in digital painting and photographic composite, building images that sit somewhere between portrait and myth. Faces come out of driftwood. A lotus opens in deep space. A trickster climbs out of a playing card.

The through-line is inheritance: what gets handed down, what gets buried, and what shows up anyway in the shape of a face.

Every piece here is printed on gallery-wrapped canvas and stretched by hand, one at a time, after the order comes in.
